Bookings for Term 2 are now open!

Whether you’re looking to learn new skills, explore a creative interest, or connect with others in your local community, Sussex Neighbourhood House has a diverse range of programs ready for you this term.

We welcome learners of all ages and abilities, with courses designed to be inclusive, supportive, and engaging. From digital skills and creative arts to wellbeing and hands-on workshops, there’s something for everyone.

New Programs This Term

We’re excited to announce several new programs to the schedule for Term 2:

Art Connect
A welcoming art program where creativity, self-expression, and connection come together. Participants can explore drawing and painting in a relaxed, supportive environment, building confidence while connecting with others.
Wednesdays, 1pm – 2:30pm  |  22 April to 24 June (10 weeks)

Intro to Screen & Multimedia
A hands-on 6-week course exploring the fundamentals of filmmaking, including cinematography, editing, sound, and animation. Ideal for beginners interested in creative industries and digital storytelling.
Mondays, 6:30pm – 8pm  |  27 April to 1 June (6 weeks)

Therapeutic Horticulture Workshop
Discover how gardening can support wellbeing and connection. This practical workshop explores sensory plants, accessible gardening, and the benefits of connecting through nature.
Tuesday, 10am – 12pm  |  14 April

Writing Stories: 3-Part Series
A creative writing workshop series exploring memoir, poetry, and short fiction. Perfect for anyone wanting to start or grow their writing practice in a supportive group setting.
Saturdays, 10am – 11:30am  |  18 April, 23 May, 20 June (3 sessions)

Building on Digital Skills (Level 2)
Take the next step in your digital learning journey. This course builds on foundational skills and supports confidence using computers for everyday life, work, and study.
Tuesdays, 9:30am – 12pm  |  21 April to 23 June (10 weeks)
