Looking for fun, creative, and engaging school holiday activities in Pascoe Vale?

Our April school holiday program at Sussex Neighbourhood House is now open for bookings, with a range of hands-on workshops and social sessions designed for kids of all interests and abilities.

From arts and crafts to gaming, history, and creative exploration, these sessions offer a welcoming and inclusive space for kids to learn, connect, and have fun during the holidays.


What’s On?

💎 Jewellery Making

Wed April 8   |  11am – 12pm  |  Ages 6-12
Let your child’s creativity shine in this colourful jewellery-making workshop! Kids will design and create their own bracelets and necklaces using a vibrant selection of beads.

🎮 Video Games Club

Wed April 8th | 11am – 2pm | Ages 8+
Join us in our PC and Games Room for a social gaming session where kids and teens can play on PC, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch.
With a mix of single-player and multiplayer options, participants can try new games, play favourites, and connect with others in a friendly, supervised setting.
Snacks and drinks are provided.

💡How the World Works

Thurs April 9th | 1pm – 2:30pm | Ages 8+
How did ideas change the world? From early writing and simple tools to modern computers and electricity, kids 8+ will discover how humans have shared information and harnessed energy across history. Perfect for curious mind who love asking how things work and why they matter.

🧶 Learn to Crochet

Fri April 10th | 10am – 12pm | Ages 8+ | Materials included
A perfect introduction to crochet for beginners! A guided session where kids can learn basic stitches and create their own granny squares to take home.
All materials are provided, and the session is facilitated by Fran, who also teaches our popular adult crochet class.

🐞  Gaming Bugs

Tues April 14th | 1pm – 3pm | for girls in Grades 3-6
This special school holiday session offers a welcoming and inclusive gaming space for girls in Grades 3-6.
Designed with a sensory-aware approach, Gaming Bugs supports connection, confidence, and comfort, especially for neurodivergent participants. Kids can bring their own device or use our onsite computers.

🎨 Kids Create

Wed April 15th | 1pm – 2:30pm | for kids in Grades 2-6
A relaxed, process-led art session where creativity leads the way. Kids can explore drawing, painting, sculpture, and construction using a range of materials, including recycled items.
Facilitated by a qualified art therapist, this session supports self-expression, confidence, and creative exploration in a supportive environment.
