Flickering Lamps, Ripped Seams & Wobbly Chairs? We’ve Got You Covered This Sunday

If you’ve got a lamp that won’t stay on, a favourite shirt coming apart at the seams, or a chair that’s seen sturdier days, don’t toss them just yet.

Join us at the Pascoe Vale Repair Café this Sunday June 1st from 10am to 1pm at Sussex Neighbourhood House, 7 Prospect Street, Pascoe Vale. Our volunteer repairers will be on hand to help with everyday items that need a little attention.

This month’s repair line-up:

  • 🔌 3 electrical tinkerers: for flickering lights, faulty cords, and anything in between that you can carry in

  • 🔧 2 general/mechanical repairers: for small household fixes

  • 🧵 3 sewing machine pros (including a heavy-duty sewing machine): for clothing, fabric, and soft toy repairs

There’s no need to book, just turn up with your item (and any spare parts you might have), and our friendly front desk team will get you started. We run on a pay-as-you-feel basis, so donations of any amount are welcome and help keep the Repair Café going strong.

♻️ While you’re here, you can also drop off items for ongoing sustainability initiatives:

🔸️ Project Pair Up – drop off your preloved containers

🔸️ Reusable shopping bag collection

🔸️ Coffee capsule recycling (aluminum)

🔸️ Plastic bottle lids & bread tags

🔸️ Laptop donations with GleeGivers

🔸️ Keep cup drop-off

Every small repair helps reduce waste and keep our community connected. Come for the fix, stay for the friendly chats, and see repair in action.

See you Sunday! 💚
