The Pascoe Vale Repair Café is open this Sunday and we have a variety of repairers available to help you out. From textile mending to woodwork and electrical repairs, we have a repairer for just about any repair!
Sunday December 1st
10am to 1pm
at Sussex Neighbourhood House – 7 Prospect St, Pascoe Vale 3044
On the day, we will have two DIY stations setup:
- Knife sharpening for you to hone your skills with our new sharpening blocks
- Training tap demo with Peter for you to learn how to DIY your leaking taps at home! – Let us know beforehand if you’re interested in the demo.
Repairers available:
- Peter – General handyman, hammer and nail repairs, basic bicycle repairs, mechanical repairs (including toys)
- Bev, Nicole & Caroline from the Pascoe Vale Hand Spinners & Weavers – Hand sewing, woollen repairs, darning, soft toy mending
- Frank & Glenn from the Merri Community Shed – General handy repairs (hammer & nail, mechanical, etc.), electrical repairs
- Lou, Ian, Jared & Nick – Electrical & sound equipment repairs
- Moya – Locksmith, knife & garden tool sharpening, jewellery repairs, basic bike repairs
- Meredith – Hand & machine sewing, knitwear mending, jewellery repairs
- Leanda – Machine sewing & darning
- Margaret – Heavy duty machine sewing, e.g. denim, upholstery, dog harnesses
- Satya – Machine sewing & textiles
- Anand, Rachel & Joe – General assistance
- Jenny & Carol – Reception
Collect all your items in need of mending and bring them down on the day to be matched with a repairer. Don’t forget any necessary spare parts!
No booking required – pay as you feel.
