New Month, New Repairs – Join Us This Sunday!

Got a toaster that won’t switch on, a bike with a squeaky chain, or a jumper with a hole in it? Bring it along to the Pascoe Vale Repair Café this Sunday 3 August, 10am–1pm at Sussex Neighbourhood House (7 Prospect St, Pascoe Vale).
Our volunteer repairers will be ready to help you breathe new life into your belongings.
This month’s line-up:
-
🔌 Glenn, Lou, Ian & Sascha – electrical repairs, sound equipment and more
-
🔧 Peter, Glenn & Frank – general handyperson work, basic bike repairs, mechanical items (yes, even toys!)
-
🧵 Kate – hand-mending, darning, soft toy repairs and woollen mends
-
🪡 Satya – machine sewing
-
🪡 Margaret – heavy-duty machine sewing
There’s no need to book just turn up with your repairable item (and any spare parts it might need). Our friendly front desk volunteers will guide you through the process.
Pay-as-you-feel donations help us keep the Repair Café running for everyone.
We also collect recycling & reusables:
♻️ Aluminium coffee capsules
♻️ Plastic bread tags and bottle tops
♻️ Reusable shopping bags
♻️ Mismatched Tupperware containers (lids, clips, bases, accessories)
♻️ Keep cups
♻️ Laptops (no older than 8 years)
Every small repair helps reduce waste, save resources, and keep useful things in circulation for longer.
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday! 💚
