Pascoe Vale Repair Café – Electrical, Sewing, Sharpening & More | September 2025

That flickering lamp? The shirt with a torn seam? The kitchen scissors that won’t cut anymore? Bring them along to the Pascoe Vale Repair Café this Sunday 7 September, 10am-1pm at Sussex Neighbourhood House (7 Prospect St, Pascoe Vale) and we’ll help you give them a second chance.
Our skilled team of volunteer repairers will be available to help with a wide range of household fixes:
🔧 This month’s line-up includes:
-
1 locksmith & blade sharpener – bring your blunt knives, stiff locks, and garden shears
-
3 electrical repairers – lamps, appliances, sound equipment, and other electronics
-
2 general handypeople – for furniture fixes, basic bike repairs, and mechanical items
-
1 sewing machine operator – for machine-stitched repairs and adjustments
-
2 hand-menders – perfect for delicate stitching, soft toy repairs, and woollens
Just turn up on the day, no booking needed. Bring your item (plus any parts it might need), and we’ll do our best to help you extend its life.
Pay-as-you-feel donations help us keep the café accessible and running strong.
While you’re here, you can also drop off for recycling:
♻️ Aluminium coffee capsules
♻️ Plastic bread tags & bottle tops
♻️ Reusable shopping bags
♻️ Mismatched Tupperware containers (lids, clips, bases)
♻️ Keep cups
♻️ Laptops (under 8 years old)
Come along, have a cuppa, and see the power of repair in action.
See you Sunday! 💚
