The SNH Committee of Governance consists of a group of committed and passionate local people, who volunteer their time to govern the Neighbourhood House.
Eligibility to be elected or appointed as committee member:
Must be a Member of SNH (Membership form here) and pay $5; and
- Must be 15 years or older, and;
- Entitled to vote at the General Meeting; and
- Works, resides in, has a strong connection to the City of Moreland, or provides a relevant skill and/or knowledge to the committee
What does the Committee of Governance do?
The Committee governs SNH Inc., and sets its overall strategic direction, mission and values. Is accountable for all matters pertaining to SNH and is responsible for monitoring financial and organisational viability and compliance with all legal obligations. We are guided by our Constitution.
Committee Members attend monthly meetings and actively contribute to the collective decision-making of the Board to further the interest of SNH and to oversee the work of paid employees, volunteers and programs of the House.
