COVID-19 – Important update from Sussex Neighbourhood House
Great news, but hold your 🐎 🐎
As of 1 June, Neighbourhood Houses, can resume activities with a number of restrictions, ie max 20 people per space taking into account distancing measures, hygiene practices and, everything involved in keeping everyone safe and avoid the spread of COVID-19.
Our commitment to the health and safety of staff, volunteers, students and the community remains our main priority. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for anyone visiting Sussex Neighbourhood House.
During the shutdown of the building, our staff, volunteers and tutors have been working really hard to: ✅ keep people connected and engaged through online activities
✅ posting activity packs to different groups
✅ regular catch-up calls and emails
✅ helping students learn the use of new technology ie Zoom and more!
With this new announcement, we are now planning for a careful and safe reopening of the House and resumption of face-to-face classes and activities for TERM 3, where it can be done.
There is a lot of planning to do, to kick start TERM 3 and things will look a bit different.
Our plan to re-commence activities will be done in a managed and staged way. All participants and House Users will be informed:
🔸 when and how the reopening will occur
🔸 when services like Tax Help, public access to computers and printing will commence
🔸 how all health and safety processes will be managed to ensure a safe resumption of activities with social distancing measures and hygiene practices in place.
As always, we thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through this next stage.
